Christine has worked as a genetic consultant at ARUP Laboratories in molecular genetics for the past 6 years functioning as a liaison between the laboratory and health care providers. She is the course master for the Genetic Counseling Laboratory Rotation for the University of Utah Graduate Program in Genetic Counseling and is a member of the Research Oversight Committee. Ms. Miller spearheaded the successful effort granting licensure to the genetic counseling profession in the State of Utah. She has been an American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) Site Visitor from 2001 to the present and written questions for the ABGC examination. She received the 2001 National Society of Genetic Counseling Region V Leadership Award and the 2004 University of South Carolina Distinguished Genetic Counseling Alumni Award. Previously Ms. Miller was employed as a perinatal genetic counselor in both a HMO and University setting for 13 years. She established the perinatal clinical genetics services in Intermountain Health Care servicing LDSHospital, McKay DeeHospital and Utah ValleyRegional Medical Center. She has a particular expertise in cystic fibrosis, ultrasound anomaly counseling, molecular diagnostic testing and testing of minors for adult onset conditions. Her personal life is busy with two sons ages 15 and 13 who play competitive soccer. She has been an active volunteer for the Humane Society of Utah for the past 10 years.
