Regardless of whether or not you plan on starting your new career in Utah following completion of the program, you will receive a wealth of networking opportunities during your training that will ultimately assist in your future employment. This leads the majority of our students to secure employment in the genetic counseling profession before graduation. Many of our program faculty members are transplants to Salt Lake City and have numerous former colleagues and/or contacts that allow our students a very real and unique opportunity to rapidly expand their professional networks nationwide both during and after their training.

A little less than half of our students decide to accept clinical or industry positions in Utah after graduation; however, UUGPGC alumni are also employed as genetic counselors in a variety of settings nationwide. Here are some of the current and past employers of our program graduates:
